Towards the end of 2021 Fenit Town Hall members met with students of the Creative Media Department of MTU Kerry Campus and presented Fenit as a subject upon which the students could base their projects in Radio Documentary. Multiple subjects were presented as opportunities for subjects but the students focussed on cold water swimming, Fenit lighthouse and oyster fishing. Throughout the following months the students travelled to and from Fenit, interviewing locals and capturing the stories and the sounds. The final documentaries are listed below and present a wonderful insight into each of the subjects. Congratulations to Fenit Townhall and MTU Creative Media Department for this brilliant project. Hopefully it will continue for many years to come.
