The re-scheduled running of Round 5 of the Tralee Bay Swimming Club World Series took place yesterday evening under idyllic August conditions at Lockes Beach, Fenit, Co.Kerry. The long awaited Irish summer had finally arrived and over 35 club members took to the calm water for 1 anti clockwise lap of the Fenit swimming buoys.
The race was won by Rebecca Pinckheard followed by Brendan O'Connor & Gavin Quinlivan. The atmosphere from both the competitors and interested spectators was superb. When the weather is right, there is simply no better place for an evening swim than Fenit ;).
