From blue flag stunners to incredible secret coves Fenit and the surrounding areas offers some beautiful beaches for all preferences. Below we have listed the beaches that we frequent most regularly. Make sure that you click through for more information, map locations and photos of each spot.

When visiting any of the beaches around Fenit please always follow water safety best practice, obey lifeguards and avoid using inflatables on the water. Strong currents and tides are present along this coastline and local advice or guidance should always be sought adhered to.

Lockes Beach

The main and most popular beach in Fenit village. A family friendly beach with sheltered water and lifeguards on duty make this a family favourite. Click through for all the details and tips to make sure that you enjoy your day at Lockes. 

Kellys Beach

Fenits other village beach Kelly's will usually be a quieter spot where you can sit back and enjoy spectacular views of Tralee Bay. A favourite for locals and for kids who like to plunge off the slipway at high tide.

Fenit Island

Part of the European Natura 2000 Special Area of Conservation the beach at Fenit Island is part of the tombolo that connects the mainland to Fenit Island. Definitely worth a visit. 

barrow

A 5 minute drive from Fenit and nestled below Tralee Golf Course is arguably one of Kerry's most spectacular yet less trodden strands. Access can be tricky so please click through for all of the details on how best to approach the beautiful Barrow.

Poul Gorm

A tidal lagoon type beach, Poul Gorm is a shallow and enclosed spot popular with families who want to spend a day at the beach and set up basecamp.
